Default Painting Help

Ok so I am going to paint my 66 Bug soon, never done it before, but i have done my homework.
One question tho, I want to paint the fenders the same as the car, is there any special kinda of paint i need to use on them?
Thanks

What material is the fenders made out of? You shouldn't have a problem, but are you wet sanding between coats?? What type of clear coat sealer do you have??

Fenders aren't made out of rubber, usually a plastic or a composit material. I wet sand in between coats with 500-800 grit sandpaper. paint-wet sand...paint-wet sand..and then paint and you should be fine. You have to clear coat after you're done painting. Don't go to fast cause you'll get blotches, go to slow you get runs. Test on a separate peice of metal to see what you're paint will look like.
