Default Master / Slave cylinder issues?

The clutch pedal on my 04 1.8T has gotten soft, but doesn't lay on the floor, and it is hard to get the car into gear while running. I do not see any obvious leaks.
Any suggestions on what to look for?

The clutch pedal shouldn't lay on the floor. Try bleeding the clutch hydraulics.

I was not implying the clutch pedal should lay on the floor, even a monkey knows the clutch pedal should not lay on the floor. I was saying the clutch pedal is soft but not soft enough where is lays on the floor.

There's always one.

Well that's just bad wording. If the clutch pedal is soft meaning there is no resistances check the clutch hydraulics.
