Hi all this is my first post

I was looking to buy a beetle (the new type not air cooled) for my wife and would like to know if there are any things in particular I should be looking for when checking them out.

I am just looking for some general buying advice.

The cars in the price rang I am looking at seem to be the 2001-2003 models, although I have been offered a 2005 2000cc car with 26000 miles on the clock for £5500 which seems a very good price (I think!).
