Looking for 00 to 03 TDI Golf, Jetta orr Passat - good Mechanically. I do not care if the body is dented, scratched, as long at it is watertight, the doors work and the frame is not damaged.

I'd imagine TDIs are getting much harder to find nowadays with the new regulations. You can't buy them in New England or California and the 2007 and later models will be loaded down with expensive, MPG-draining pollution controls. You're on target looking for a 2003 or older model because those were the TDI's that were rated at 49 MPG on the highway. Later models dropped to 45 MPG. Another benefit of the older TDIs is that diesels should be exempt from costly annual emissions testing.
