Hey folks first time in here

Just purchased a rather tatty porsche spyder replica, based on a VW beetle (65) 1.6 litre ... (sorry if you hate to see beetles used for this purpose)

It was coverted sometime before 1993 - I have no details whatsoever of the build or any spec of the engine - the car is in need of restoration

I will post up some pictures of the car engine and suspension ... maybe you guys can help me find out what I have




A few questions

1. can you provde names of any helpful books, guides, forums that I really should check out
2. I live in the UK - anybody know any VW specialist local to Peterborough area or any local people that would be keen to chat?
3. It's higher on one side at the front - what can be done about it?
