Ok, so my headlights went out. I changed the bulbs and checked the fuse, but still I have no lights. What else can I check for? The wires inside the headlights were a exposed in some places, so I have those wrapped JUST IN CASE that was causing a short. Please help me! I have to drive to work in the dark and I don't want to have to keep using my brights... oh yeah, and my brights still work, just not the normal bulbs.

 

Need to know what type and year VW you have, they are
different from year to year.

 

you can try pulling the turn singal swich to see if it will swich from brites to lows it workred on mine
