Default few questions

hey guys, i have a few problems on my '65 beetle that i need some help on. wile driving it, it is real hard to get it from 3rd gear to 2nd gear. i heard from the lady i got it from that its a linkage problem, is this hard or expensive to fix? also does anyone know why the left rear makes a squeak sound when turning right? we took off the wheels and tires, and didn't find any evidence of rubbing the fender or wear of the tires. maybe the bearings? or somthing else.

thanks
-chris

i would try a spray of some sort such as PB blaster (not WD-40) the stuff is cheep go pick up a can it is well worth it. if not take a drill to it and just drill it out

seems like you are going a bit over kill and getting frusterated with your self, but i did see that you had the universal tool out. (hammer)

as for this one yes it is brake fluid. it is eather the ruber brake hose or the caliper right at the end there pull the wheel and see which one it is

ihope that will help a bit,

PB blaster is a SUPER SUPER strong WD-40. once you use it you will never use WD-40 again. local store should have it.

i got the bolt out using a good old grinder. now i have the front fenders off and looks kinda cool, i am thinking of converting to baja just because it would be hard to restore it with the rust it has. lotta options i need to think of
