We just recently bought a 71 super beetle. We also have a 73 beetle that we are just parting out. My question is - are the fenders from the 73 beetle able to fit on the 71 super beetle?

 

Front fenders on a regular beetle will not fit on a super beetle. The rear fenders stand a chance of fitting.

 

Smokin' Dog - thanks for the response. I have a couple more questions. Do you know if the engine hood would fit from the 73 beetle would fit on the 71 super beetle? Also how about the rear apron from the 73? Thanks for the information.

 

It's been a long time sense I worked on the beetle,
but as I remember, the two cars in question were about
the same parts from the door handles back, I think the
rear parts will work as long as the years are close, as
for the 73, the tail lights are different, so im not sure
if they will bolt on the 71.
