Contacted Volkswagen Customer Care yesterday. They are still trying to find a fix for the drivers window issue. In the mean time they have agreed to give me a second months car payment for my troubles. Who knows if this keep up they may wind up making my car payments for the term of the loan. LOL Still hope this have a fix in place when I bring my car in for a check up in early September. No other issues with the car at this time.

I have a NBC 2003, and my driver side window has been acting up ever since I purchased it new. The window would go down and make a loud clunk, almost like it wasn't done rolling down. It has been repaired 5 times, still makes the noise and as of yesterday it stopped going all the way down, now it stops completely. The dealer wants $450 to repair. Thinking about calling VW of America and complaining.

Hey everyone! When I purchased my 2012 beetle this August, my dealer told me about the window problem and said that a "fix" was supposed to arrive sometime in October, and will only take a few minutes to fix.

What I've noticed with mine: Window spazes out only when I try to roll up the driver's side by holding the lever, and it ALWAYS works for me on the 3rd attempt. (It rolls back down the 1st and 2nd attempts.) I've also noticed that I can get around this annoying problem by "inching" the window up. Ie, not holding the lever. Annoying, but less annoying then it going down 2 times before it rolls up. Haha.
