Hello ,

my 1972 1.3 liter enginewill not start ..
Thing i did - new battery , new spark plugs ( i hear good starter )
i checked & found that i have spark comming from the spark cables..
fuel - i took out the upper hose and saw that there is pressure .
When i poor some gas in to the carburator - the engine starts for 3 seconds and die..
i'll appriciate any info to solve that problem.

sounds like a carb problem
is the idle cutoff valve hooked up?
there is a wire from it to the coil and choke
ps 72 is a 1.6
