Greetings, I'm new to the forum and need help. My wife has a 1998 Beetle that won't start. It will roll over but will not start. Do these still have the fusible link that will sometimes burn out, our old 86 Golf had one? The local mechanic said these have a throttle valve (butterfly valve) that sometimes stickes closed. Can't see any movement under the hood when the wife pushes the accellerator pedal. Any help would be most welcome.
