dear experts,
i am working on my wifes 75 super beetle conv. i pulled the motor to replace the clutch and rear main seal. had a tough time hooking wiring and hoses up because i didn't lable.
finally got it running but poorly.couple of issues
1. the throttle body gets stuck slightly keeping up idle.it's not the cable. this makes it hard to set timing and idle speed. without taking it apart i don't see why it gets stuck slightly open increasing idle. i have to pull it back.
second issue is the injector connectors. they fit both sides.does it even matter where you put them?
as of now it starts idles okay revz okay. drive it and i have lack of power and random back firing.
not sure timing is correct due to lack of idle speed adjustments other than tightening the nut on throttle cable.
any info or ideas is much appreciated.
