'71 Super Beetle Modded: T-shaped Handle
I just bought my first VW, a '71 Super Beetle for $800. The price will provide a clue of how much work this thing is going to need.
The owner before the one from whom I bought it made a bunch of mods. One of them involves the transmission. The shift lever says "Scat" on it on the shaft and on the T-shaped handle. There is also a small T-shaped handle that is attached to the big one and is used to shift into reverse.
Do you know what kind of tranny this is?
