Default 2004 Volkswagen Beetle front passenger air bag light on

I just bought a used 2004 VW new beetle. The front passenger air bag light is on and the person I bought it from had it checked and she said it was a right a faulty sensor. Question I have is, I can get a right front sensor on line failrly reasonable. Does anyone know if it is difficult to change? Any special procedure? I have heard that they can possibly go off if not done correctly. Thanks in advance.

My 2004 has the air bag light on also. Is this a difficult repair?

Unless 2004 is different from 2005, the passenger air-bag light showing "off" is the default. If a passenger is in the seat, the light doesn't show "off" (along with a couple of other situations). In other words, it's normal unless someone is in the seat and it's still off. I just got mine, but I did read the manual.
