I'm new to the forum. I have a 2002 VW New Beetle, and it has several issues I was wondering if anyone can help me with?

The sunroof motor has quit working per the dealer. I want to order one online and have a local mechanic install it. Is there anyone out there with a parts number manual that can point me in the right direction on the correct part number to order? The dealer just wants more money they I can afford to pay them to order and install it. $500.00!!!

Second, my low gas light stays on all the time. Per the dealer on this as well, they have to replace the whole interior dash. Is there anyway to just cut the light off?
