Any suggestions for replacing the battery, is it possible to remove it without standing it on its end to lift it out of the tray, the power steering reservoir prevents from sliding to the left to remove it as it sits.

I removed the engine top cover and see a bolt that holds the reservoir shaft, however it seem with the short tight hoses on it i can't see any advantage to try and remove it just to change a battery.

Any experience on this will be greatly appreciated.

 

The big red cable goes to the starter. The other goes to the regulator. The black cable goes to the floor pan.
