Just picked up a sand rail with 1836 bug motor
its got a 2 bbl Weber carb on it
looks like the stock fuel pump
I'm having a backfiring problem and thinking is a lean condition
got the carb off, jets seem to be open, fuel pump looks stock, etc...
wondering if anyone knows if the stock fuel pump is alright to run on this size motor, plus thinking i should verify the carb jet sizes to be sure they are correct
next check the valve adjustment, for vacuum leaks, etc...
any feedback would greatly be appreciated
