Default Is 155,000 miles on a '02 too many?

So right now I'm looking at buying a 2002 new beetle from a private seller. Everything looks good, and after purchasing the Carfax for it, I found zero problems with it. I'm still going to have it checked out by a mechanic before purchasing it. The only downside to this car is that it has a little over 155,000 miles on it. Is it still worth purchasing or am I just wasting my time?

That's an almost impossible question leelu
It all relates to money vs miles. Here are the wholesale auction prices.
As you can see as the miles go up the price goes down.
For a person who wants a beetle and only has 3000 bucks an 02 with 150,000 is worth it.
But...If I had 5,000 I would look for a 60,000 mile one. They are around.
Look at the prices below, add 1,000 as it's wholesale and decide what you can afford.
One last thing. At these auctions (prices) the grading is very strict.
An "above" (above average condition) is dealer front line ready.A dealer could buy the car and stick it right on his front lot for sale. It needs nothing.
Average really= good
I would sure not be paying 5 cents more than 3000 for a 150k car and I would be trying to buy at the 2300-2500 indicated below.
You come out much better if you find a hidden problem. Note the 900 dollar 200,000 mile car as that's what you will have in 50k
