I recently bought an 04 Beetle 2.0 and after owning the car for one week the battery started going dead. So I figured it must have been a bad battery but now I have replaced the battery two times. I dont drive the car but maybe 20 miles every other day but that should be enough to maintain the battery. I started digging around on the web about this problem and found that cars with the Monsoon stereo have an external amplifier that can malfunction and stay on constantly and cause the battery to die. So I unplugged the amp, charged the battery and two days later it is dead again. Does anyone have any helpful answers besides the obvious one. I am really desperate for someone who really knows their BEETLE stuff for some answers.
