1986 VW Cabriolet

Great condtion for a 20yr old car.

The title is clean and is in process . I was suppose to smog the car after i paid the fees 95.00in 12/06 it expired in 2/07.
The car is intended to be sold as off road vehicle or parts car.
It your choice if you want to reg/smog.

Current Mods:
Full wide body Kit installed with shaved door handles in 1987. This was an award winning show car in the S.F Bay Area back in the day.

Wheels: Rare 3pc BBS 15x8 with Yokohama A008's 215/50/15 +35 Rear and +12 front offset.

Engine: 1987 VW scirroco 16V motor 38,000 miles on this motor currently

Suspension : Neuspeed Lowering Springs and shocks.

Transmisson : manual 5 speed with neuspeed shortshifter (shortshifter can use a little adjustment)

Interior : All tan leather excellent condtion from door panels to seats . Both front seats are electric heated.
Power windows , door locks , alarm controls door poppers and starter kill.
The exhaust is neuspeed complete.

The canvas top was insatlled bran new and at the time it was 1500.00 and is still new condtion.

The history of this car , i purchased from a guy in the city. It was sitting for most of the time as it was a show car. The car runs great still and was registered. The tag expired at the end of the month but the reg was only 95.00 last i paid.

The cons: Car has been sitting covered for the most part of 15 yrs and has been neglected. The only issues are 1. needs to get smogged by a hook up of your choice because of the motor swap 2. Intermitent starting problems- Believe this is due to the jacobs ignition ( car turns and want to run but wont start sometimes) 3. Winsheild wipers never worked i guess because it was show car..? dont know. 4. Needs some tlc and cleaning up of the wiring because of the neglection. 5. Front bumper has small crack in fiberglass.



The pros : the car runs great idles great! Idles great ! Its peppy power! It handles like on rails!

The vehicle will be sold with stock steering wheel , needs radio , it comes with infiniti componet mids and tweets in front and rear with crossovers.

All this for 2100.00 obo cash no trades for VW forum i have it posted on craigslist for 2500.

Not bad for a 20 yr old Cabrio... But I still don't have enough cash to purchase another VW car or a Volkswagen Cabriolet parts for my wife... Goodluck to you though... Hope it will be sold as a whole car...
