Default 1967 Beetle - great shape, Lynnwood WA

1967 beetle, original 12 volt. Comes with WEGU whitewall inserts, trim rings, fender guards and good cover (none installed). Great shape & mechanically great. Lots of receipts and repairs, as itemized below. All known problems listed too. Bought it in March of 2004. About 1,300 miles put on it in August 2004 when it was brought to Washington - since then about 300 miles have been put on it until now. The thing does 70mph no problem. I have never pushed it faster but feel it could do it. Doesn't pop out of gear and everything works. Love it but need the money and it just sits there. Would prefer it goes to an enthusiast, but need to sell, so…$5,000 OBO.----Matthew

2002 parts/fixes:
Parts: new battery.
Work done: tune-up done.

2003 parts / fixes:
Parts: 3 new tires, new front bumper, rear drums and rear brake shoes.
Work Done: flywheel repaires, tune-up given, oil changed, timing reset, rear drums and brake shoes replaced.

2004 parts / fixes:
Parts: 1 pair white visor clips, 1 ivory window winder (unused), in-trunk wire cover, plastic glove box, glove box rubber stops - I have all receipts for these parts.
Work done: Replaced brake light switch & blink light relay and bulbs for both, front and rear brake hoses & left end tie rod. Adjusted toe and parking brake, bled brake system, replaced wheel cylinder - I have receipts for this work. Powder coated wheels - no receipts for this work.

2005 parts / fixes:
Parts: 1 roof rack, 1 deck lid rack, 1 glove box pull, 1 set chromies wheel inserts (never used), 1 fox car cover, reverse lights, horn, windshield wiper fluid container, 1 radio antennae, 1 cd-playing remote control detachable face radio, 1 non-working original style bug radio, full set of pre-'66 beetle hubcaps, D badge, "1967" beetle mudflaps - no receipts for these parts.
Work Done: Adjusted/repairs right end tie rod, replaced right head light - I have receipts for these. Electrical system gone through and everything made to work, tune up given and oil changed, radio installed in glove box, original style non-working bug radio installed in dash hole and hole cover fabricated - no receipt for this.

2006 parts / fixes:
Parts: 1 fuel pump and hoses to/from it (have receipts for these), 1 fuel filter and hoses to/from it, 1 starter motor, 1 ignition switch, full set of spark plugs, 1 speedometer and cable (3 miles on it since installed), set of locking wheel lugbolts - I do not have receipts for these.
Work Done: Replaced fuel filter, hoses to/from it, fuel pump and hoses to/from it, starter motor and ignition switch replaced, spark plugs replaced and timing adjusted, speedometer and speedometer cable replaced - Do not have receipts for these.

The following parts are still new in box: Hood handle guard, WEGU whitewall inserts, aluminum front fender guards, aluminum rear german style high profile fender guards, set of stainless steel wheel trim rings (aka chromies inserts),

The following parts are bonuses: hood rack, deck lid rack, 2 original matching black California license plates (one is pretty beat up, the other is not too bad), 2 original dealer plate frames from when bug was new (one is broken at top, the other is in great shape), 3 spray cans and one pint of color matched interior car paint (matched to existing original interior paint), 3 different types of carpet guards for feet area, Haynes and Chilton repair manuals, Wolf VW bug car cover (fits over racks and has rivet holes along sides to lock it on).

Problems: Small wrinkle in left rear fender.. Paint could use a refresher; it is a nice metallic blue but getting chips in places. Interior redone in nineties and shows some stains/wear, as does headliner. Interior too could use repaint, which is why I got the paint matched but never did it. Windshield wiper fluid sprayer still needs to be made to work. 3rd cylinder may need to be fixed in the next couple years (works fine, but shows some wear). Origina
