Rabbit Diesel Injection Pump Installation Blues
I have installed a new injection pump on my 81 Rabbit 1.6L diesel. The pump will not throw any fuel into the injection lines. Things I have tried
1. crack one of the lines at the injector and turn the motor over
2. pump air through the fuel return line to pressurize the system
I am able to get fuel in the overflow/return lines, but the injection lines remain dry. I thought maybethe fuel shutoff solenoind needed to be engaged, so I jumped that and then tried to bleed the lines. That did not work either. I am at a lost and any advice would be much appreciated.

I got the pesky bugger started today. Still not ready toleave the gargageyet though, I need to adjust the tension on the timing belt and replace the valve cover gasket.
