Volkswagen Fox is the subistitute of VW Lupo in Europe.
It's made in Brazil and sold there.
Fox was projected to replace Volkswagen Gol (north-american Fox). The north-american Fox was projected in Brazil and was named Gol BX. In 92', Gol BX was replaced by Gol AB9, our Gol for 14 long years. In 2003 (i think) brazilian Volks needed to replace Gol AB9 (that was in the third phase). So VWB projected the Fox. A global project. VWB sold too much Fox here, but sold more Gol... So Gol was not replaced, but repositioned under the Fox (in price).
Gol is the leader of our market for 20 long years. It has over than 5 milion units sold (just in hatchback version). Gol has a pickup version (Saveiro), sedan (Voyage, Fox in the USA) and the station (Parati, Fox wagon in the USA).
