lol yeah, GTP's are slow, only 30 or so more horse than a GT, the supercharger on the GTP is nothing to rave about, and typicall superchargers are far less more efficient than turbo's and actually aid in burning more fuel when you tweak it for performance. I do contract work for a company that builds a kit specifically for the Grand PRix, GT/GTP. You could essentially buy a bigger and better supercharger but at more cost and less horsepower than a turbo. As well, turbo's don't rob from the engine, versus a turbo that merely uses wasted exhaust to drive the turbine.
As well, GTP are rated as such and result in higher insurance premiums for a not very fast car versus a GT which is far cheaper. I will though, eventually build up a GTP engine, which is the L67 since the L36 isn't built for high boost. L67 has perfect compression ratio for maximum performance. The engines are actually fairly cheap to buy ready to go.
