Default Building Skills for Diesel Mechanics Careers

Hello everyone,

I’m exploring options to enter the heavy vehicle maintenance industry and focus on diesel engines. I’d like advice from professionals experienced as Diesel Mechanics regarding the essential skills and qualifications needed. What practical experience matters most, and are there specific programs that provide hands-on training?

Additionally, what should I expect in terms of daily tasks, safety standards, and career growth? Hearing about real-world challenges and strategies from people currently in the field would help me prepare better and make informed decisions about my career path.

Any guidance or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
