Click on My Profile up above.

You will see "CONTROL PANEL" and under it, click My Subscription.

Those are the threads and sections you are subscribed to... you may uncheck the ones you don't want to stop receiving so many emails.

Or at least, there are so many variables and the level of influence they have varies over time, that it is impossible to apply them.

What I would suggest you do is stop throwing those pre approved apps in the mail and start opening them. There are phone numbers and addresses on those things..
