Default Old guy coming back to VWs

I am a new forum member coming back to owning VWs after a long hiatus.
Owned numerous VWs in the past.
72 super beetle
73 super beetle
84 GLI
84 rabbit diesel
86 ish GTI (can't remember year exactly)
90 GTI
89 jetta carat (my favorite VW of all time)
90 jetta
Then I had too many kids and got bigger american made things with automatic transmissions.
In the past few years, have bought VWs for a few of my kids:
'12 Jetta S, 2.0 five speed
'09 Rabbit 2.5 auto
Looking for a later model Passat wagon for my self now. What's the chance I'd find a nice one with manual tranny?
Working on those newer ones this week while my kids are home from college.
Learned a lot browsing in the forums - have some new detail to add to issues others have discussed.
Cincinnati Ohio area.

Welcome to the forum.

Its nice to see you made an intro on your own.

Which VW are you running at the moment? What engine do you want in this Passat petrol or diesel?
