Hey new here got a 1999 new body jetta with cold air intake.

I do have a strange problem my car is idleing at like 600 can anyone help me out it also sounds rough.

 

welcome to the forum! As far as the idle, was timing work done on it? Take at look at the throttle body, are there any set screws to maybe turn up or down the idle? Don't really know what kind of motor you have so I'm have to kind of shoot from the hip here.
