i am new to volkswagen and i just got a 96 jetta. so this my question ive been looking for parts for it and its ask me if it is 96 1/2 how do i find out what year mine is

 

Go run your VIN number through a dealer and they will tell you exactly what motor and code, GL,GLS,GLX, whatever your style jetta. That's where I got all my info.
