Default jetta 1.8t coolant leak

Good day all. Have a 2002 jetta with 1.8t (buddies car). Just did timing belt kit with water pump and new thermostat. It ran fine then he took it home, parked it over night then in morning he started it and it was leaking coolant.
The coolant is leaking from the thermostat area, we have replaced the thermostat seal again, then the whole housing. This thing is still dripping coolant but can not locate the leak, any ideas?

Without seeing the components its hard to say where the leak is coming from.
