Default Introdution to me and my 2003 Jetta

Hi. Im here because my first post was in the VW thread forum and I was told to do an intro first. So Im Dave, and Im from Cecil County Maryland and I fish offshore in a Tolman skiff we built off OC Md for tuna. I have a bunch of kids and four dogs and a wife who keeps breaking my cars.

I have this old 2003 VW Jetta sedan 2.0 L that was heating up and I finally go the thermos changed, but now when I put it back together I put the thermos flange on and theres an o ring but not the traditional gasket. Is that all that keeps the water in, that o ring. I did not take the plastic flange off, my buddy did and I don't know if there is another gasket that is supposed to go on there and I cannot see where the water leak is coming from?

Thank you

Welcome to the forum.

After being prompted.

Please tell us your car spec in your signature

I don't know where you live your location is blank.

https://volkswagen.7zap.com/en/rdw/ keep this in your favorites/bookmarks for reference. As it will save me checking ETKA, which isn't working with the new 8.2 version
