I just picked up a 1997 Passat GLS VR6 5-speed wagon!

[align=left]It has about 95,000 miles on it. On the whole, it runs very well. It has a few minor issuesthe front and rear sprayers don't work, the cruise control doesn't work, and the reverse lights don't work. It also needs a new heater core, and new lower black leather seat covers in the rear. It could also use a new set of fog lamps. and cornering lights.

Those are all quite minor things, in the grand scheme, and I can take care of those relatively minor items myself. About the only fix I'm really worried about is that although the air conditioner blows ice colda blessing here in South Floridaits condensate leaks into the passenger compartment. I'll have to search the forums here for a fix for that.

It's a great little car about the only complaint I have is that the inside of the thing smells like ever other old German car I've ever been in: musty and moldy and mildewy. Maybe I'll change out the carpet, too.
