Hey all, just got a new '04 VW Jetta 1.8T. Ooooh so sexy! Hahaha,
anyways...just one question. I was told by the dealer (who also
happened to be my uncle) that if you turn the ESP off that the tires
will spin and possibly smoke. Now, I tried this in a parking lot and
nodda happened, they didn't even make a squeal. Was he over
exaggerating or do the tires just need to get broken in more or
something? There seems to be no power when in first (using the
Tiptronic shifting) when you punch it. Even if I hold the
brake and press the gas and get the RPMS to about 2,000, when I let off
the brake the car goes nowhere. Anybody got any idea what's up?
