Hello All...new here to the forum. A bit about me, I am 40 and live in Manawatu, New Zealand.
My womanfriend (refuse to call her a girlfriend as she aint a girl, and I aint a boy anymore) has just acquired a VW beetle for her daughter, and I have been charged with getting her roadworthy (the car,not the missus or daughter)...
From what i know it is green and the engine is currently sitting in the back seat. Now I aint a mechanic but have worked and fixed up motorbikes so I have a bit of a clue. The thing is I have never worked on a car engine let alone a rear engined one...so will be asking for help occasionally....
now this project might take a while, so if anyone is interested will keep a photo diary....
