Hello,

I'm new here and considering transitioning from a 2103 4Runner to a 2109 VW SEL Premium. While I like my 4Runner, it's getting long in the tooth and Toyota has now priced a new 4Runner far out of my price range. Yes, I'm aware of Toyota's legendary reliability but they do have vexing problems like my not being able to update the maps in my navigation system. Toyota doesn't even list an update for my 6 year old infotainment head! It does for newer ones but not for mine. Someone will get a slavishly maintained, garage kept 4Runner but I need to move on. The 2019 RAV4 is also overpriced and not being discounted, because their sales are really brisk.

Thanks in advance for the information. I'm looking forward to learning. BTW, I've owned 4 other VWs in my 59 years of driving. Every one has been really good.
