I'm a new member, in fact I just bought my FIRST VW a few weeks ago and absolutely love it..having mostly driven Japanese cars and one Alfa Romero over a decade ago I finally gave the Germans a shot. I have a '96 Jetta GL 5spd-the dude I bought it from put in new leather seats, new clutch, exhaust sys, a bitchin' JVC stereo and it looks a drives freaking rad.

I do have one question, perhaps under a different thread-a week ago while unlocking the driver side door the door stopped locking from that side..so in order for the doors to lock and unlock/security sys to work, i gotta go to the passenger side to open/lock/unlock..

any suggestions?
