So i recently bought a golf and it has a loud exhaust so i did some looking and it's a 4-2-1 header to exhaust but the flex plate seems to be broke so can i replace just the plate or i have to replace the y pipe?

So i recently bought a golf and it had a loud exhaust so at first i thought it was the y Pipe but then discovered it was the flex plate i guess you'd call it ? Between the header and y pipe can you replace just that or do i have to replace the y pipe new to this whole vw thing this would only be the 2nd one I've personally owned
