Default Accidental short interruption of the engine while driving

Accidental short interruption of engine operation while driving in a higher gear (4 to 5):

The engine stops accidentally while driving. I Feel the engine jerk.

Since the gear is engaged, the engine starts immediately and continue driving without interruption. The yellow 'Engine' indicator light comes on on the instrument panel. This goes out after some time.

Importent remark: This event occurs considerably more probably when there is less gasoline in tank then the tank half volumen (less then ½ tank volumen).

Welcome to the forum.

After being prompted.

What were those error codes scanned with a generic scanner if you have posted a picture?

Its not worth searching for those error codes and posting each one.

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing and check systems out.

Thank you Keithuk. I am glad, I am on board. I will look for service using the VAG-COM\VCDS scanner and let the engine scan. I will send you the results.

Dear Keithuk

1) I have finally done the scanning using VAG-COM\VCDS scanner. It was rather difficult to find the VAG … type scanner in the surrounding.

As the description is in the Czech language, I have translated the relevant lines into English as follows:

Translation:

4 errors found

16588 – injector cylinder 4 (N33)

P0204 - 35-10 – error in el. circuit – sporadic

16586 – injector cylinder 2 (N31)

P0202 - 35-10 – error in el. circuit – sporadic

16585 – injector cylinder 1 (N30)

P0201 - 35-10 – error in el. circuit – sporadic

16587 – injector cylinder 3 (N32)

P0203 - 35-10 – error in el. circuit – sporadic

Readiness: 0000 0000

2) I would like to add:

I repeat from my original text dated 08.26.2020:

“Important remark: This event occurs considerably more probably when there is less gasoline in tank then the tank half volumen (less then ½ tank volumen)”

Yours

Zdeno

That isn't an English VCDS log file.

VAG Error Code: 16588/9840/000516

EOBD II Error Code: P0204

Fault Location:
Fuel Injector for Cylinder 4 (N33) Piezoelectric Injector - Circuit Malfunction/Open Circuit

Possible Cause:
Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)(K83) active.
Lack/Loss of Power.
The engine may be harder to start.
Engine hesitation.

Wiring/Connector(s).
Fuel Injector for Cylinder 4 (N33) Piezoelectric Injector.
Engine Control Module (ECM).

Possible Solutions:
Check/Replace all faulty Wiring/Connector(s).
Read Measuring Value Blocks (MVB).
Low side signal current < 2.1 A.

When is the code detected?:
The P0204 is set if the Engine Control Module (ECM) is detects a low or high voltage drop or resistance at the injector 4.

Description:
Engine Control Module (ECM) checks the injectors circuit resistance and monitors the voltage drop during normal operation. The Engine Control Module (ECM) will trigger the P0204 code when the resistance or voltage drop at the injector 4 is out of specifications.

VAG Error Code: 16586/000514

EOBD II Error Code: P0202

Fault Location:
Fuel Injector for Cylinder 2 (N31) Piezoelectric Injector - Circuit Malfunction/Open Circuit

Possible Cause:
Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)(K83) active.
Lack/Loss of Power.
The engine may be harder to start.
Engine hesitation.

Wiring/Connector(s).
Fuel Injector for Cylinder 2 (N31) Piezoelectric Injector.
Engine Control Module (ECM).

Possible Solutions:
Check/Replace all faulty Wiring/Connector(s).
Read Measuring Value Blocks (MVB).
Low side signal current < 2.1 A.

When is the code detected?:
The P0202 is set if the Engine Control Module (ECM) is detects a low or high voltage drop or resistance at the injector 2.

Description:
Engine Control Module (ECM) checks the injectors circuit resistance and monitors the voltage drop during normal operation. The Engine Control Module (ECM) will trigger the P0202 code when the resistance or voltage drop at the injector 2 is out of specifications.

VAG Error Code: 16585/15887/000513

EOBD II Error Code: P0201

Fault Location:
Fuel Injector for Cylinder 1 (N30) Piezoelectric Injector - Circuit Malfunction/Open Circuit

Possible Cause:
Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)(K83) active.
Lack/Loss of Power.
The engine may be harder to start.
Engine hesitation.

Wiring/Connector(s).
Fuel Injector for Cylinder 1 (N30) Piezoelectric Injector.
Engine Control Module (ECM).

Possible Solutions:
Check/Replace all faulty Wiring/Connector(s).
Read Measuring Value Blocks (MVB).
Low side signal current < 2.1 A.

When is the code detected?:
The P0201 is set if the Engine Control Module (ECM) is detects a low or high voltage drop or resistance at the injector 1.

Description:
Engine Control Module (ECM) checks the injectors circuit resistance and monitors the voltage drop during normal operation. The Engine Control Module (ECM) will trigger the P0201 code when the resistance or voltage drop at the injector 1 is out of specifications.

VAG Error Code: 16587/9835/9839/000515

EOBD II Error Code: P0203

Fault Location:
Fuel Injector for Cylinder 3 (N32) Piezoelectric Injector - Circuit Malfunction/Open Circuit

Possible Cause:
Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)(K83) active.
Lack/Loss of Power.
The engine may be harder to start.
Engine hesitation.

Wiring/Connector(s).
Fuel Injector for Cylinder 3 (N32) Piezoelectric Injector.
Engine Control Module (ECM).

Possible Solutions:
Check/Replace all faulty Wiring/Connector(s).
Read Measuring Value Blocks (MVB).
Low side signal current < 2.1 A.

When is the code detected?:
The P0203 is set if the Engine Control Module (ECM) is detects a low or high voltage drop or resistance at the injector 3.

Description:
Engine Control Module (ECM) checks the injectors circuit resistance and monitors the voltage drop during normal operation. The Engine Control Module (ECM) will trigger the P0203 code when the resistance or voltage drop at the injector 3 is out of specifications.
