Need help trying to get an idea what could be wrong with my 2014 Jetta Se. It's not shifting into passing gear and how to fix it? While driving I attempted to accelerate to merge onto the highway, it tacked up to around 4000 or so RPM and did not want to go almost like it had slipped out of gear. As long as I'm driving in town it's fine. I'm around Dayton Ohio if anybody work on jetta Thanks Shawn

I'm guessing that's a DSG gearbox, is that a 6 speed or 7 speed?

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing and check systems out.
