Default LEATHERETTE SEAT CLEANING

Hey guys,
i have a 2007 wolfsburg Jetta. . . got the leatherette vinyl seats. What is the best way to do simple cleaning or wiping without using vinyl cleaners that leave a film??
Will plain soap and water and a sponge work all throughout?? It has the vinyl dash and door interiors too. . . gotta clean them too.. . .but how?

i have an 08 wolfsburg with the leatherette seats as well. I will have to try the pledge. I have been using meguiars wipes leather cleaners. I hate that greasy armour all look myself but the wipes arent too bad. At first they are very greasy, but i keep wiping and going over it a few times and it comes out great.

What scares me about the pledge is whether or not the vinyl is protected? I live in florida and the sun can destroy vinyl.

for all the rubbery vinyl sections like the dash and anything else thats not leatherette or leather I use meguiars quick interior detailer spray. I love the stuff. What pisses me off at the moment though is that i have a deoderant stain on the door from where i hang my arm out, and i just cant get it out.

One last thing. Anyone have have any recommendations on cleaning the leather steering wheel and shift ****? For those i havent found anything I like yet.
