Swap to a bigger engine on an US 80 Rabbit Conv.
Hi
I am new to the forum. I am restoring an old college day 1980 rabbit conv. with a 1.6L engine. It has 223k miles and smokes when it is running. I was thinking of having the engine redone or swap for a bigger engine. Is it possible to put in a 1.7 or 1.8L engine with minimum modification? I appreciate any advice. Thank you in advance.
