I just bought a 96 Jetta and the radio is in safemode. I've heard that you can turn the key in a certain combination and get the code to flash. Does anyone know this combo?

this is false. you have to pull radio out and give serial #s to vw dealer to get code

 

Tepps is correct, All that radio security code stuff is a real pain
I went through it and it's just not worth it. I finally removed the
junk radio with the security crap and bought a real radio at
Wally world, that stopped all the code stuff and now all I have
is my sounds.
