Default Need some advice

Hey all..

It has been a blue moon since I have been on and made any posts.. let me bring you up to speed.

9 days ago, I was driving my 07 Jetta, coming home from work at 10 in the morning. I had made it down the street before I was rear ended by a drunk driver doing 40. Pretty crazy how your life can take a turn so fast. Jetta was totaled. Air bags didn't deploy and I bashed my head into the steering wheel. It was pretty gnarly. I was taken to the hospital by ambulance while the other drive was lifeflighted.

Well, Last night, I signed for a GTi. Drove it around for a couple hours. Still under the recommended 5000 miles for breaking in, so I wasn't driving like an ***. Well, I got home and as I am sitting waiting for the garage door to open, my check engine light popped up. I didn't really think much about it. Got up this morning, and remembered it.. Took it out for a spin, still feels the exact same way that it did last night. Boosts fine and everything. (note that I do wait for my car to warm up before even driving)

Just need some advice.. Should I take to the dealer? (which I am dreading) Or just reset the light.. (if anyone knows how, let me know)

Thanks all.

Prolly something with airflow, or emissions....if it's still uner warranty have them resest it. I ALWAYS go to auto zone or any auto parts store that checks the light for you.

Not ignoring..

It was in the late weekend when it happened.

Ended up being a faulty O2 sensor, had it finally replaced today because no one in the state had it.. and was on back order..

Thats just my luck though!

Oh well.
