hi folks, just wondering if it any of you/ or/ if it's recommended to use internal engine cleaners (to clean and de-sludge the engine)? i've used these products before...
top up oil, let engine warm up,turn off car, add solution into engine oil, start car, let idle for a bit, turn off and do an oil change...
is this a good treatment to do? my wife has a 2006 passat wagon with the 2.0t auto. it's a good car and will probably keep it after lease. it only has around 46000km on the clock!
i'm a bit surprised though...that with such little milage, when i went to check the oil the other day, i had to add some, and it was almost black in color, and it's no where near getting another oil change as it was done a few months ago..what can cause this?
my 2006 volvo wagon 2.5T doesn't consume a drop of oil and doesn't turn black with 85 000km in it.
