Hi.
Just wondering if any of you guys out there have experienced this problem. It just started a few days ago, and now I cant cruise on 5th gear and accellerate without the engine starts pinking or detonating. I have to shift down a gear or two and then accellerate. And its only when the engine is hot, not while still cold. The cooling fluid level is fine, the oil was changed not 2 months ago, the defroster works and the temperature gauge does not indicate anything unusual.

This is a Golf III, -95 with a 1,8 ABS 90 hp engine

Any ideas?
