Default Front end shimmy and noise

Just bought a nice 74 Bettle for my daughter. I have had vw's growing up and have rebuilt them when I was younger so I am familiar with them. This one had been lowered and was way to low for my taste. the Strusts had been modified and were shot anyway, so I had to buy new ones and I installed them. Of course the ride was much better...but... now the front end goes bump bump bump and you can feel it in the steering almost feels like wheel bearings going out. I have check everything for loose fitting parts and everthing seems good. The noise is so bad that we stopped driving it. We live in po-dunk Idaho and have no one around here to ask. Please help!!

Default RE: Front end shimmy and noise

do you think it's possible you might have flat spots on the tires? or the tires may be shot period.
My 2 back ones go bump bump bump and drives me insane...but im to cheap to replace them as of yet lol..
