Does anyone know how to get the code for the factory deck after its been removed? I had installed an aftermarket one, but as usual it got stolen. So I know its the right deck for my car, but unfortunately I dont have the code for it. Any one know to obtain the code without having to pay a VW dealer to do it for u?

if u can pull out the radio it SHOULD be writen on the top or bottom.. a 4 digit code... thats what i heard and bam, pulled it out and there it was..

 

i had this happen. same scenario. there are two ways to get the code. the code comes with the radio manuel. if that page has been ripped out your only other alternative is to take the radio to the dealer. they like to charge you so my suggestion is to take it out yourself and talk one of the guys into running the info for you. they have to hook it up to the computer system to pull the code. hope that helps you out. good luck!
