I'm interested in buying an older Beetle (1960's or 1970's model) and wish to know what year the ignition systems went from point to electronic as I want one with the points ignition. I just joined the forum and it looks as though most of the chatter in regard to the new Beetles, so I hope that I'm in the right place Thanks!
