Default Cigarette Lighter / Fusebox location ???

Greetings!

I have tried searching the web and this forum for an answer, there seems to be lots of similar questions however no suggestions that help with my specifics.

Both power outlets / cigarette lighters in my 05 Touran have completely stopped working. In addition the 2 amp fuse on my tomtom charger previously kept blowing.

I thought it might be simple case of changing a fuse to the cig lighters, but the only fusebox I can locate is for the main components in the engine bay (next to the battery). There is no general fusebox under the driver side dash as it states in the manual?

Has anyone encountered this issue, or have any suggestions.

Many thanks in advance for any help!

In my 99 passat the panel at the end of the dash comes off to reveal the fuse box. I mean the part of the dash that is covered by the door when closed.
Try that and please let us know the result.
