Hi,

The AC in my 98 Beetle keep blowing the air even the climate control switch dialed to 0. The fan speed control switch doesn't work properly. It has only one level of air at any speed dialed. It's able to blow cold and hot air though.

All of which happened while or after I recharged the refrigerant and also dissemble the radio without pull off the battery (not sure if it's relevant). I also noticed a weird sound during the refill process, but disappear after a while. The freon pressure was very low at the time of refill.

Anyone has any idea of what cause it?
